My Mission
Weaving a Regenerative Future
I curate beautiful, ethical products from small businesses and vibrant communities passionate about sustainability. From handwoven textiles to eco-conscious kitchenware, each item brings purpose and beauty into your home while treading lightly on the planet.
I’m here to empower you to live sustainably without sacrificing style or quality. This collection reflects my personal journey toward mindful living—and I’m excited to share it with you. As Earth Woven grows, I’ll continue discovering treasures that align with our shared values: circular practices, waste reduction, and honoring the earth’s natural rhythms.
Change doesn’t require perfection—just millions of us taking small, meaningful steps together. By choosing reusable, toxin-free alternatives, we eliminate single-use plastics, protect our health, and foster a circular economy that regenerates rather than depletes.
Leslie Castillo Cañedo
Born and raised in the vibrant heart of Mexico City, my journey as an ardent nature lover began with my father. He taught me by example to appreciate, respect, and be utterly in awe of the natural world – from the rhythm of trees swaying in the wind to the intricate genius of a hummingbird’s nest, and the feeling of “aire limpio y fresco” (fresh and clean air) in his hometown in the Sierra of Puebla.
My father also instilled in me a profound compassion for Mexico’s indigenous communities, especially the Nahuatl people from his region. He regularly organized medical campaigns, ensuring my siblings and I joined him. Though he passed in 2012, his rich legacy of heart and purpose continues to guide me.
As an adult, my love for nature has evolved into a fierce commitment to defend and protect it. I saw the cost of our “take-make-use-lose” economy firsthand in Essaouira, Morocco, where miles of beautiful coastline and the seabird ecosystem were buried in plastic trash. My heart hurt for nature, I cried that day; and made a promise to defend it. That vow ignited my personal journey to reduce waste in 2017, and the more I learned, the more determined I became to drive change beyond my own home.
Our Shared Impact
Turning Awareness into Action
Inspired by these experiences, my mission with Earthwoven is to empower you with simple, effective tools for a regenerative lifestyle. I transform waste into resources by offering high- quality products that make sustainable swaps accessible and beautiful.
Every purchase supports indigenous artisans and small businesses, honoring traditions while boosting local economies. You’re not just buying an item; you’re joining a movement that reduces plastic pollution, lowers toxin exposure, and weaves a healthier future for people and the planet.
Let’s prove how far we can scale this change—together, with joy and purpose along the way.
